These first gen Q45s are so weird I love them. I’ve been looking for a “drift car”. Now how can I convince my wife that we can afford this.

Also I wonder is a 300zx trans will swap in. Or a T56.

I saw one of those early Q45s for the first time a few years ago. I had absolutely no idea what it was, which really threw me off. It was utterly mint, with bbs basketweaves, and the usual stick on chrome fender liners that you see on 80s/90s luxury cars for some reason. I’ve sort of wanted one since then, but they’re basically never for sale, since there’s so few around here.

Yeah those things are still always for sale and hanging around. It helps that they’re ultra reliable, while Q45s have a time bomb of a transmission.

That’s the stock engine. 4.5l V8. Stock it makes 275hp. Which for me it just fine. I’m having enough fun with my cars 200hp and it’s AWD.
